Is a deposit required?

A deposit will be required to confirm all studio bookings at Falcon Recording Studios. Our deposit amounts are 50% of total time booked. Your deposit will not be refunded if the session is cancelled with less than 7 days notice. Exceptions will be made for serious illness or death, not for lack of rehearsal or money. Studio bookings for which no deposit has been received will be subject to change or cancellation, without notice to client.

Cancellation policy

After you confirm your sessions with a deposit, we need 7 days notice to release the time without penalty. If you cancel with less notice than this you will lose part of your deposit unless we can schedule another client on those days.

When is payment due?

Payment in full for materials and fees is due and payable immediately following each session. No recording tapes in Falcon Recording Studios shall be released to clients until all open accounts have been settled and all checks tendered as payment have cleared Falcon Recording Studios account.

What is included as billable time?

Billable time includes set-up and tear-down of your session. Lockout sessions are based on 10 hrs. per day. Additional Studio and engineering fees will be charged during lockout sessions if the recording time exceeds 10 hrs.

Clients assume all risks associated with storing, on or off the premises of Falcon Recording Studios, or Falcon Recording Studios use of, any and all sound recordings, video recordings, digital data in any storage format including but not limited to audio, video, smpte, midi, or other file types, or equipment of any kind or nature and shall hold Falcon Recording Studios harmless from any and all damage that might occur to said articles for any reason. In any event, Falcon Recording Studios liability shall be limited to the replacement cost of an unrecorded tape of comparable value. Falcon Recording Studios with respect to “downtime” of any and all studio sessions as a result from equipment malfunction or availability, personnel, hired musicians, acts of nature or public utility companies, etc., shall be limited solely to the studio time of such booked session; and client(s) agree to hold Falcon Recording Studios from any and all damages from such “downtime”.

IMPORTANT: Audio File Storage

In this new age of digital recording, audio file and session file storage has become a major issue for studios and clients. Due to this, Falcon Recording Studios will not guarantee the safe storage of these files.

It is necessary for every client to provide for digital audio file storage. There are several ways to do this:

1. Bring your own hard drive to the session and request for such audio and file transfer(s),or you can purchase a hard drive from Falcon Recording Studios for your project.

2. Purchase blank compact discs or dvds and request such files be transferred to them.

We advise you to then take your hard drives or discs with you upon departure from the studio. You may leave the above items at Falcon Recording Studios at your own risk and peril if you choose to do so. Failure to make the above arrangements will result in your audio and session files being unavailable for use. Falcon Recording Studios assumes no responsibility and makes no representations either expressed or implied regarding safety and replacement of any hard drives, master or other audio files, or any type of recordings.
